OpenVox T1/E1 voice gateway is an open source asterisk-based VoIP Gateway solution for operators and call centers. It is a converged media gateway product. This kind of gateway connects traditional telephone system to IP networks and integrates VoIP PBX with the ISDN seamlessly. With user friendly GUI, customers may easily setup their customized Gateway. Also secondary development can be completed through AMI (Asterisk Management Interface).

Router PSTN connectivity is generically referred to as voice gateway functionality, offering a gateway for voice over IP (VoIP) calls to, and from, traditional analog or digital PSTN or private branch exchange (PBX) calls. You can use a router voice gateway to connect to PSTN central office (CO) switches, private branch exchanges (PBXs), Key Systems, time-division multiplexing (TDM)-based interactive voice response (IVR) systems, traditional TDM-based voice mail systems, and any other legacy (non-IP) voice processing or telephone equipment. A VoIP gateway works as a bridge between an IP network and the PSTN. Depending on where the voice traffic originates from a VoIP gateway will convert the voice traffic into the proper form for receipt by the destination network (IP or PSTN). The digital VoIP gateway supports software-selectable T1/E1/PRI interface and supports up to 60 concurrent calls. The “R” means that the device supports redundant power supply.
